Life has a funny way of shaping us, doesn’t it? As the eldest daughter, I’ve always been the one to handle things on my own. Every challenge, every twist it was all on me. I’ve grown stronger, but some memories still sting. Like after my breakup, when everyone seemed to have an opinion. “Why did she post those stories?” they’d ask. But honestly, who are you to tell me how to deal with my feelings?

Friendships with boys have always been complicated. At first, it’s all laughter and fun, but somehow, it always turns into something else feelings I didn’t ask for. Maybe that’s why I don’t have many guy friends. Just two, really Pratham and Yash from my Himmatnagar college days. They’ve been my constants, my safe space.

Then came VGEC. Those years gave me so much three boys: Sid, Akki, and Harsh; and four amazing girls: Krina, Jhalak, Rupal, and Ashwini. Each one holds a special place in my heart, even if life pulled us apart. Harsh and Krina, for instance, stopped talking to me suddenly. I don’t know why, but I’ve learned not to overthink it.

Sid, though, was different. I admired him deeply. In my head, we were like Aditi and Bunny from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. I created this little imaginary world for us where we were inseparable. But…
