Carrying It Well Doesn’t Mean It’s Not a Heavy
We all know that one person who seems to have it all together. They walk through life with a smile, a joke, and a sense of confidence that suggests nothing could possibly rattle them. From the outside, everything looks perfect. They seem strong, unshakeable, like nothing ever weighs them down.
But here’s the thing: Just because someone carries their burden well doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.
It’s easy to think that someone who always appears to be “fine” has no struggles of their own. You see them laughing, moving through their day with ease, and you think they’ve got it all under control. But what you don’t see, the part they keep hidden is the weight they carry, the emotional load that no one else can see but them.
I’m that person. I’ve become an expert at hiding my struggles behind a smile. Every day, I put on a brave face, acting like everything is just fine, like the world is a perfectly manageable place. But inside, I’m often struggling to keep it all together.
You may see me walking through my days, moving forward with ease, but what you don’t see is how every step feels like it’s dragging me through thick mud. You don’t see the weight I carry: the worries, the fears, the anxieties that keep me up at night, heavy on my heart, pulling at my chest.
