Taking Time for Myself Helps Me Find Peace and Clarity

I want to talk about something that has become an important part of my life

“spending time alone.”

It’s not always easy but it’s something I turn to whenever life feels overwhelming or out of control.

Have you ever felt like the world was just too much? Like no matter what you do, nothing seems to get better? I’ve been there. It’s like being surrounded by people yet feeling completely alone. Or feeling stuck, like there’s no way forward, no clear path.

For me, spending time alone isn’t about avoiding the world; it’s a choice. It’s my way of hitting pause and protecting myself when things feel heavy. When everything around me seems loud and chaotic, I turn inward. As Maya Angelou once said,

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”

Spending time alone gives me the space I need to hear my thoughts and understand what’s going on inside.

Life can be a lot of people expect things from you, situations happen that throw you off course, and suddenly you’re not sure who you are anymore. I’ve had those days, like when work piles up, deadlines approach, and my phone never stops buzzing with messages. It feels like everyone needs something…
