I recently went back to my hometown after a long time. It is strange how the journey feels so light but the emotions it brings are so heavy. When I arrived and saw familiar faces waiting for me, it felt like the kind of warmth that cannot be found anywhere else. Suddenly everything felt okay.

Coming back home is something that words can never truly describe. The smell of the air and the way the doors creak just the same make everything feel untouched by time. The old furniture and the familiar little details bring a sense of comfort that nothing else can. When I stepped inside, it felt as though time had slowed down just for me so I could notice every little thing I had missed.

I do not know why but I have started paying attention to so much more now. Their hair has started to turn grey and their skin is not as smooth as it once was. Their movements have slowed just slightly but the love they radiate feels exactly the same. This bittersweet realization that they are growing older brings a weight to my heart that I cannot fully explain.

The bond they share is something I cannot stop thinking about. Nowadays we speak of love and relationships so casually as though they are things that can be replaced. But when I look at them, I see…
